the publics are fricked when the Private schools take the money Then on top of that the only competitive public schools are going to end up flipping over. That is going to cause a huge bitch fit in the LHSAA when every good team in the state ends up in the new private league.

if other top 5A public schools are leaving i hope we are...
they talk about private school advantages but they are way overrepresented in the LHSAA voting. Sabine Parish has 7 votes with less high school students in their district than St. Bernard who has 1 vote

That's a lot of money but even more power in that list of private schools, being an STM grad and knowing how our AD Kim Broussard wants to always play the very best I'm not surprised we were in that meeting.

It's going to be great when we also take away the nhsf accreditation as well.

Love the way the private fans think they will ruin every public. Maybe you'll screw the inner city publics in NOLA and BR and maybe Laffy but everywhere else will be just fine. Way more publics than privates across the state.

That encompasses 2/3s of the states population. It will be interesting to see if they allow the charter schools and or jefferson/st. tammany public schools to join

Bottom line is all schools one day will probably reunite, but the rules will be a bit more favorable to the larger schools in the state. There will be a different system of voting, and the principals won't have as much power, which will go to a more representative version of the current executive committee

I'm just glad my kids have all graduated, this whole thing stinks. FWIW, my school voted against the split and could possibly go with the privates but I'm sure the school board would try to stop them since Destrehan won't go too.

I wasn't surprised, because of all the kids that live in their district that leave to go to privates.

Unfortunately it isn't his decision to make. The current principal is the same mentality but he is being promoted to the central office and I'm not real sure on where the female assistant principal that is taking over stands on this.

Bring back the LISA!
They might need to change the logo. We can't have anything referencing ole miss now they can recruit.

I will be interested to see what publics also wish to join ship. It's the same problem fifa has and why it took criminal investigations to get sepp Blatter out of office. There is no way fuji should have as much influence as spain. The power lies in the schools that don't matter, grand isle, midland etc.
There is no point for the bigger schools the west Monroe and Barnes as well as the privates to stay if they have no voice in the lhsaa.
