Good deals on a 996 are out there in that price range. Not that the 996 is a stand out Porsche but it's still nicer than a mustang but a long shot.

If he holds out another year and turns that $30k into $40k or $45k more doors will start to open.

I'd say the interiors about about the same. Mustang will have more amenities if you're into that.

Mustang also slightly edges it out on all the "big" performance stats.

Mustang also comes with a warranty.
