Who owns this land and why isn't it developed? (Burbank to Nicholson)

Just always wondered why that big of an area hasn't ever been used for apartments, or something else.
All I can tell from google earth is a bunch of tanks, some barns, a trailer, and a small house.

They had started to build something on the corner of Lee and Burbank, but i think construction stopped for some reason.

If I was the baller who owned that land it would stay just the way it is. Barns > trashy apartments.

Pretty sure it's all owned by Duplantiers. RIP

Idk but I hope it stays like it is forever

I think most of that is designated wetlands.

At this point, I'm all for retaining as much green space and undeveloped near campus as possible. Traffic and overcrowding are already problematic. We don't need to further these issues before they bother to widen Nicholson.

Can't think of a much better investment than Baton Rouge real estate.

Hope it stays undeveloped

It's an oil field. I believe there are still some producing wells on it

What about bluebonnet/ Nicholson? Wampold owned. What are his plans there?

I killed many a squirrel in there from 86-90 or so.
