I'd start with resources such as this one below if I were you:

Thanks for the link. I have heard and read that China is slowly trying to phase out it's coal energy problems and that US gas could potentially be a long term viable solution. Could be a great thing for LA in the long run.

But I've also read that one of the reasons China is building those man-made islands in the South China Sea, much to the consternation of Viet Nam, Philippines and the U.S., is they believe there are large natural gas deposits in that area and they want to stake a territorial claim on the area so they can obtain exclusive drilling rights. If they are correct and they get to keep the territory around those "islands" they may not need any U.S. natural gas.

The Chinese think very long term. I guess that comes with being a 5,000 year old civilization.

One example of that is a famous quote by Mao Tse Tung when he was asked in the 1960's what his thoughts were about the French Revolution in the late 1700's which overthrew the French monarchy.

He replied, "It's too soon to know."

Off the top of my head I'd look to Europe. The wildcard there is probably Russia. I think China is a non starter. I don't know anything about their history, but I do know I wouldn't trust them. Including their buying LNG. Their leadership has demonstrated to me that they will do anything to keep the balls juggling. That's not a pro-Trump statement, that's based purely on what they've already tried to do, and already done to their own equity market to keep monies from flowing out of it.

You have an interesting idea. I saw on one of the shows, Cramer I think, an interview with one exporter that was positioned well. I wish I could remember who it was.

Doesn't matter. Good topic as it got me away from taxes for a moment.
