ta: to anyone going in the future and focusing on beer, i highly recommend staying at the downtown inn. you have to call to get a room and won't find it on expedia, etc. it was very cheap and in the middle of the breweries. it is pretty much a motel but extremely clean

We stayed there last year and I definitely agree with this. Great location downtown and the price is right, especially compared to nearby places.

Well, we already booked the country days inn and suites @ westgate in asheville. More in the medium range. But, according to google, everything is a short uber ride away. And we're driving there so we'll have a car to get around for our non-drinking expeditions.
