I'm not, but being an attorney with a lot of friends working in politics, I know a handful.

They all took varying paths, but I can give you two examples of a couple of my closer friends (both non-lawyers):

1) Poli sci major. Congressional intern during undergrad, briefly worked on the hill after graduation before being hired on by a southeastern law firm to lobby on state-specific issues. Now working as a deputy CoS on the hill.

2) Business major. Not aware of any internships. Went to work in low level position for local office of US Senator. Worked his way up to LA level. Left to direct the local office of a new congressman. Now regional political director for major special interest group.
