I'd usually make a joke, but seeing as he's just a kid, I'll fargo it.

Other than that I wonder how his first day went.

New job for Randall?

His family will be left to pick up the pieces.

Typical millennial. Anything to get out of work.

"Has anyone seen Chip?"

At least no one can't say he wasn't chipper on his first day.

A teenager tragically died trying to earn an honest dollar.. Sounds like great comedic material for the OT

This is certainly right in their wheelhouse as the kids say these days.

From the article:

The teen, whose cousin works for Crawford, had taken the day’s work to make extra money, the business owner told The Herald.
Probably under the table and not an honest dollar.

Damn.. how much would be left of him?

He was working for money, not shooting up a gas station for it. Not to mention the way tax dollars are spent these days, I'd support more work under the table

When something goes into a chipper it gets completely chippered before the machine shuts down. Think running over a toad with your lawnmower.

I've been saying it for years...if I had to decide how to go...it'd be in a woodchipper suspended up above a huge crowd.

This thread was all I imagined, and more

Similar thing damn near happened to me 20+years ago. I was hired by Hunt Lumber in Independence. First day on the job the put me on the "chipper belt" to knock down larger vertical branches/bark etc. I had a 10' rod to knock crap down with, but some of the ol hands advised just kick the pieces down with your boot. No problem. Except about an hour after lunch as I kicked one piece another piece caught my jeans and drug my arse lickety split towards the MASSIVE chipper 20 some odd feet up in the air. As I was yelling my "ohhh shite"s I decided to roll off the conveyor a few feet before the teeth. Somehow one of my boots was knocked off and went into the chipper, but because it was a steel toe it caused the chipper to shut down and alarms to go off. I walked straight to my vehicle and never looked back...scared shitless
