There's a difference between "holding" and "cookin" 15 lbs of beans.

2 pounds of dry beans makes 1 gallon cooked with 1 1/2 pounds of meat. I've done the measuring.
2 lbs of dry beans is 5 cups. When cooked it becomes 16 cups.
