His dad may need to Code Red his own son.

He has good grounds for decomitting from LSU and now wavering on Florida. I don't blame him a bit for either move. Les and Cam, whom he committed to, were supposedly fired. Now Florida is looking at another top QB after they almost assuredly told him he was 'the man'. If he were my son, I'll tell him to keep looking as well.

I agree with you in theory, but I believe he de-committed before the Miles Fired stuff.
Think he probably watched the Alabama, Arkansas, and Ole Miss games...

He is a kid but when you start throwing around words like, honoring commitment, respect...etc., maybe you need to honor that as well. **Edit - when I say you...I mean the collective you...not you personally.
I'm not saying he needs to commit to LSU - just be solid and stay strong with the decision. If you're that good...doesn't matter who else commits - win the job and take care of it.

If that's the case, I wouldn't be so quick to support him. In the end though, the schools are acting in their best interest and the kids can't be blamed for doing the same.

I honestly don't want this guy anymore. I guarantee he transfers if we somehow got him back.

Franks, a 4-star QB from Wakulla High School (Crawfordville, Fla.), was asked how he felt about Eason visiting Florida.
“Not good,” Franks told SEC Country.
Well we felt "not good" about you saying you were 100% on board for the last 18 months or so and then decommitting at the last minute so boo frickin hoo

The thing is he is commiting to these programs.. He doesn't need to be doing that. The Florida one was way too pressure..
He commited to LSU and we went all in on him. Showed him all the love because he clearly needs to be the guy., then Florida wooed him over after their qb got suspended.. And he commits to them. Then they entertain another qb and yet again he's unhappy. He clearly has no interest in competing.. Which is fine, but it's like he's not truly commiting to the programs.. So why does he keep commiting. He can't be trusted, nor can any recruit, so he should understand schools entertaining all possibilities.. Because of kids exactly like him..

If he signs with LSU many of you will overlook this. You are just being judgmental without knowing all the facts

JJ whined but wasn't physically talented and Les stuck with him for 2 years.
What did he whine about? And he was 6'5 220, ran a 4.6 and had a big arm, that's at the least, as physically talented as Franks is. Jefferson was just never coached up.

Give the guy a break......he is making one of the most important decisions of his life on where to play ball for the next 4 years. Im sure he just wants to make sure he chooses the best school for him.
He's way too wishy washy. Could have given LSU at least til the visiting period started back up. You know AFTER the regular season to see where everything stood with the coaching staff.
I want Haskins over Franks and I think we should go and talk to Haskins.

The rumblings about him dropping LSU didn't start when Harris' play fell off, they started after Harris' best game. The kid is scared.
Exactly! You'd think a military child would have more fight than that. Would enjoy competition and take on challenge. He seems soft.

When he whined the first time, they stopped pursuing a 2nd QB (and we really need one). He was the one talking about respect and honoring commitments.
He watches Harris light it up for 3 games then he starts getting a little nervous. In his de-commitment post he talks about him talking to LSU coaches about de-committing at least a week before Bama.
Then he final does de-commit and commits to Florida within a few days.
Now that they are looking at trying to get Eason too, he's feeling the pressure again.
You can't keep running from competition.

He whined every time he came off the field. But his deficiencies probably could have been coached up. (poor delivery, slow delivery, couldn't read defenses). But, you're right, that's all coachable.

Wow. UCF or USF may be a better destination for him.

Nah, still wouldn't like it. He could easily transfer from here within weeks or a year of making it on campus (Ricky Town USC, Gunner Kiel Notre Dame).

That he de-committed without waiting for the regular season to play out?
That he has been thinking about de-committing BEFORE the Bama game (read his message when he left LSU)?
That now on two separate occasions, he is publicly showing fear of competition with guys that didn't even commit to that school yet?
I don't like that attitude. Why play a sport at all?

That's stupid. Most call it "it" when they don't know what the hell they are talking about.
Did Brandon Allen not have "it" when he was worse in his 1st year starting than either Harris or Jefferson were in any year? What about Brandon Doughty who had 14 TDs and 14 ints in his first year, but with a new OC/QB coach, he put up 49 TDs and 10 ints? What about Jeff Driskel who was horrible even against cupcakes his entire career at Florida? His one year with LA Tech, he has nearly 3600 passing yards, 62% 24 TDs to 8 ints with and additional 30 yards and 5 TDs on the ground. What about Blake Sims who they made a RB his first couple of years before he was the backup in 2012 & 2013 and starter in 2014? He broke Alabama records his only year starting yet couldn't get on the field.
I mean look at Trevone Boykin? That kid was bad as the starting QB, then the very next year with a new coach and system, he was on fire! Look at Garrett Grayson's first two years at Colorado St. Look at Matthew Stafford his 1st year at UGA?
Jordan Jefferson's 1st year starting was probably the best or 2nd best ever for a 1st year starting LSU underclassman QB. He had a horrific OL with zero run game yet put up 17 pass TDs and a rush TD with over 2300 total yards in less than 12 games.

I WANT HIM!!
He's a freakin kid, Florida probably sold him a load of promises about starting and being the only QB! He chose LSU because UF (his homestate school) was a dumpster fire and then they got a new
coach, won the East and promised him the world. Now they are
backtracking and bringing in Eason and Franks is thinking 'what about all the crap you told me'!!!
We expect 17-18 yr old kids to make decisions like 40-50 yr old men.
