New to Lafayette. Wife and I want to venture out to Abbeville. She's allergic to shellfish, so she will be looking to get fish. I'm craving raw oysters and seafood. Looking for reviews on these places. Thanks in advance.

And, Richard's for oysters? Back when I used to hit Richard's it was only for crawfish.

Man, I really thought they were too, but their facebook and website say they are open.

then there must be a new owner/proprietor who recently reopened.

It is but it's been almost a year since they reopened

I never denied that part
Come pick me up before you go
There's a good looking Mexican hostess. She's probably 19 but I'm ok with that

Dupuy's small and quiet. Shucks large and loud
Overall I prefer the food at Dupuy's just a little better but it's been a year to two since I been there.
Shucks is a close second.

I like Dupuy's because it is a small mom & pop place. Good food
Haven't been to Shucks in years but it was loud.
Good food.
Haven't been to Black's in years but wasn't impressed. Was outrageously loud, more than LaFonda loud!!! Food was ok.
What I can't figured out is why would the third owner of a restaurant keep the same name where that business has already failed twice...
I don't think Richard's is open yet for crawfish..

Alright, y'all talked me into it. Myself, Mrs. Janky and the two little Jankies will be there tonight as well. I could go for some raw oysters.
