I've heard three things about Miles that bother me.
1) His fingerprints are all over the ineffective offense. He changes calls, screws with the flow of his assistants, etc. IF the HC feels they need to be involved in offense, they should only do so in a 'guiding' fashion - tell the OC what you want from the drive, then let them call the plays. A HC should almost never interfere with the play-call, IMO, unless they want to call all of the plays.
2) Favoritism is an issue with players. If you're not playing the best players, you're a fool. This accusation has come up a lot in the past 3-5 years. You cannot foster a 'competitive' practice environment if you're going to play some guys regardless of their practice and game performance. You have to engage all 75 scholarship players; that's true of any boss for any successful business, IMO.
3) Loyalty is nice, but Miles' loyalty to friendly coaches is a huge issue. Miles has never been pro-active towards clear failures in the coaching staff: he always waits until it's such a glaring issue that he has to react.
Miles is facing a real challenge to his position as head coach. If LSU can't get a replacement lined up, Miles might survive this year, but he will not be around next year without some serious alterations to the way he operates the LSU program.

And this fact has seeped into the brains and very souls of some of the fanbase. You have these idiots carrying on about, "Oh, look how we look in the media and to other fanbases. If we don't get Jimbo, I'd rather Miles stay".
Really? Really? He has to go now! Not just because he was railroaded in the media, but because he has become complacent and refuses to change his ways. We cannot keep him one more minute past December. He actually needs to be gone within the week after TAMU. We need change immediately. A new direction. Status Quo will complete the turn into just better than the 90s. Let's at least try to steer the damn ship away from danger...okay?
