I'm afraid too many posters don't know how to use the possessive case.

If Miles would have coached here before Saban he would have been part of the bad times and fired. with the facilities and Coaching budget before Satan, Miles 3 years MAX before being fired. Remember there was no big budget to hire Chavis to save miles and his 80th ranked offenses butt

I've noticed a trend on TD that people that have a different take than their own are dumb asses. It's quite astounding.
No, you can't read. I realize you think you have a valid, original point, but you have posted the same crap that 100 other old-timers have posted. It's ridiculous. Just bump some other dusty post that is virtually identical to the one you just started.
I became a fan of LSU in 2003, and have loved every minute of my experience, and don't want to see the program slip because of some old people who are afraid of change. I like Les and think he did a great job for several years, but obviously something has changed. I tried defending him at times, but he has been worse every year since 2011. I am sick of watching the offense look inept, and now that he hired a DC who can't stop an SEC offense let alone the mid major offenses, we are in trouble and Les' weakness are more obvious. I am not happy about it, but hope for the best. You are dwelling in the past just like the other 100 posters who like to bring up the 80s and 90s.

Forget the 90s. LSU hasn't lost three games in a row by double digits since 1966.

That's a substantial response.......Whoa! #2 in a weekly college playoff prediction poll. Hmmmmmm, this is how come I know you truly don't know what AWESOME success feels like.

That is by far, the dumbest thing I have read all day.

I remember it well, as I attended LSU FROM 83-90. Remember Arnsparger left, we didn't fire him, and Archer had a couple good years before the fall.
Honestly, the last few years remind me more of the end of the McLennan era. Alabama has a better coach and has our number. We have a coach that doesn't adjust to the way the game is played today. It's very similar.
I have loved Les as a coach and a rep of my alma mater, but the program has shown decline over several years now and I see no fire in the team lately.
A change is needed now. Of course we can find a good coach who can recruit here and win. I would rather gamble on a good choice than settle for more of the same.

I remember bad times well. I could see them returning under Miles.

here we fricking go again
you realize LSU already showed they could transition to a new coach and keep the program winning?
Les is not some incredible coach. He is a good coach, but he has had the talent. LSU never had this kind of talent.. they put more players into the NFL..
Why are you willing to settle for this down spiral just because you are afraid of LSU's yester years..
We aren't seeing any improvements.. and it's always "next year"
LSU won a national championship with Saban.. he up and left.. LSU hired a mediocre coach in Les.. and he kept up the tradition and won a national championship... it is time for a new transition NOW while the program is still on top to continue to maintain at worst.. but don't let it continue to get worse.. we are experiencing things right now we haven't even seen since the 60s..
look at FSU.. they had a NC coach in bowden.. but they gave that forever.. settling for mediocre seasons.. until he finally retired.. and they had Jimbo come in a take that program and get back on top.. and he won a national championship.
OP..
Please, do me a favor. Please, just read this article. Up and down.

I challenge all the people afraid of change to read that. I use to be the biggest Miles backer and of the mindset of "Be careful what you wish for.."
but I fully believe a change is now in order.. and I don't believe we are even winning on coaching any more.. we aren't making any game adjustments.. and we aren't even winning bowl games with prep any more..

Big deal. They left to make $$$. Nothing more. They ALL have used LSU as a stepping stone instead of getting an education AND playing the sport that would have paid for their education for 4 years.

Btw, your thread title is a statement. You use a period for those, not a question mark.
Actually, I didn't even write anything about Miles haters in my title or what was posted. I don't know who or how my original title was changed? Perhaps it was too long an TD shortened it?

That's a fair point. It's very likely many of these people weren't even alive in 1966, the last time Lsu was embarrassed this badly in 3 consecutive games.

Your assumption is that LSU would certainly keep sliding under Les. This is only a guess.
