Why has Alleva been mute? Why hasn't he just said, "We evaluate our programs at the end of the season every year. Les Miles is our coach. Anything else is rampant speculation."

What has LSU admin/boosters done to stop this mess....nothing. They just sit back at let it keep rolling on bringing negative attention to LSU.

look, this thread is not to justify anything miles has or has not done. i'm merely addressing the "rumor" that all of this bad press is LSU's fault due to leaking info, etc when there are no facts to support this.

purposely "leaking" info or rumors for the purpose of obtaining objectives is an old political trick. many "whisper campaigns" have been quite damaging in the past. BUT to assume this was done without any proof is damaging to LSU's rep. undeservably.

Pretty simple. Alleva made a choice with the assistant contracts. Now that this stuff is out, he has no comment. He's not standing behind the current head coach.

the purpose doesn't matter. what matters is how its perceived by the media and public. and this has been perceived as a shitshow

Taking anything people say on a message board as fact is kinda stupid. IMO But with that said it is kinda fun to speculate on what could, should and might happen and who our next coach might or might not be.
Now as far the media those clowns just want eyeball and ears whether they make shite up or not. Think about how many of same ones are saying Miles should be fired are the exact ones saying everyone's stupid if they do. So really IMO they have as much credibility as average person on the message board save a very few.

Aleva should have squashed it a week ago right after the article came out. PERIOD! Even if it would have been an out right lie, you have to do it then to save recruiting.
This class will fall apart quicker than the game plans on saturday last 3 weeks with O and Miles leaving and probably frank and Raymond too.

There is little doubt this started from within the AD office.. Alleva has always stated that he doesn't evaluate until the season is complete which gives him complete cover when says no comment.. The BOS interview last week all but confirmed that the leak came from high within the administration which means Alleva. The reasons why.. To many to speculate but they revolve around emotion and inexperience dealing with the frenzy of the lsu football rumor machine. They've painted themselves into a corner that will put egg on the face of the AD regardless of the outcome.
