by this time last year, Chavis had pretty much righted the ship and had us as he #1 defense in the SEC. there was still the matter of the last drive vs Bama, but the D had clearly improved. now Sept/ early Oct of last year, everyone wanted him gone.
Hunter was always a bit of a curious case to me (even with the coaching deficiencies). his TFLs were on par with Sam/ Mingo, but his sacks were always lacking. hell, I think he might've set an LSU record for tackles by a DL. you'd think he might just stumble into a few sacks here or there, but it didn't happen.
