yes, but i wanted one on way to the house
That sounds incredibly dumb, and I'm not saying it's dangerous, just incredibly fricking stupid considering the laws and the risk.

I've always said I think a DUI should = 3-5 year suspension of license

Umm... Yeah?
Oh interesting, and what exactly would that difference be?
What exactly is different about the cold one? What does it do?
Why might that factor into driving?

I find the phone usage while driving needs to be addressed and more stringent laws should be made and enforced

Look, he shouldn't drink and drive, I'm with you there
But wtf does this mean:
Of course a cold one is different
Beer is awesome
Pepsi sucks

Why not a pepsi after a 60 hour work week, or does the cold one do something different to you?

do you think me having a glass of wine at dinner and or a beer while driving home should be treated the same as per say a person who has been drinking all day and driving?

I missed the original intent of your question. I'm still hung over and it was a long drive home last night.
kidding. I might drive my car once a week and I walk to the bar.

At least offer a tasty alternative. You know, a Coke, or Dr Pepper.

If you're both legally drunk, yes.

Where are all the drunk driving apologists at?

After a sixty hour work week, I stopped and grabbed a 16 ounce cold one. I sipped on it while on the drive home. Should I get a DUI?

I have a question. Let's say I have a heart condition, and if I drink too much caffeine my heart beats really fast. Let's say that I drank an espresso for breakfast, then a monster around lunch and a 5hour energy at 3:00pm. I get into my F250 at 4:00 start driving home my heart starts racing (not like anything you have experienced), and it doesn't stop for 15 minutes. I black out. What should be the consequences?

DWI=driving while intoxicated
DUI=driving under the influence
A drunk person, most likely, would not drive through the barracades and kill ppl at 10am.
DWI. Deal with it.

If that glass or beer caused you to blow over .08, then yes.
Regardless, even if you blow under .08 on your drive home with the beer, then you'll still get an open container, so...why risk it?
Can't you wait to drink until you get home like the rest of us normal folk?

If you drink at all, have someone to drive you home. If you don't have a ride, either don't drink or walk home. Pretty simple.
