That girl dumped you, that p***sy is gone and never coming back, man up. This is pathetic!!

Sorry I'm not as cool as you are.

But to clarify, I never said I wanted Saban back. I only said that I think he would be back if we weren't in the SECCG. Nick Saban was coming off an independence bowl win 7-6 season and was definitely liable to leave. Nobody could've expected a 12-0 season the next year.

I think if we're not in the SECCG then Michigan hires Miles away and we hire Saban back. Glad it didn't happen though.

If you think for a second LSU could touch Alabama in a bidding war, you are seriously mistaken.

If you think Saban longed so fondly for his time in Baton Rouge that he would become a pariah AGAIN by leaving after a year for another job, you are just wrong.

And the 2008 run was very foreseeable if you followed recruiting well enough back then. The Tuscaloosa Ticket was already paying off with its SEC catbird seat, and it was clear that the monster there far outweighed the giant in BR.

ETA: And I definitely thought all year that Miles would leave for Michigan. I tend to think that Herbstreits report did less to keep him in BR than LSU jumping into the NCG did.

Even in his presser that morning he said "ask me AFTER". Focusing on beating OSU for the title was all he wanted to focus on, and I honestly think he passed on his dream job in Ann Arbor to bring that crystal ball to BR.

Whatever it was, I'm extremely thankful it happened the way it did and stayed with the good guys
