Show me how smart you are. We attempted what, 12 first half passes last Saturday? How many of those were thrown less than 15 yards down field?

He's hilarious, choup. Truly entertaining. He's PJ's equal. But instead of drunk he's retarded.

Please, hollow, don't stop!

I would challenge him not to get out worked by dB's at eastern Michigan.

I probably wasn't as accurate because the pass interference attempts on the before mentioned "hail marys" don't count as a pass attempt because of the pass interferences.

Actually think it was 16 pique. While I agree that throws to "streak" receivers are too often, Dural & Johnson dropped 3-4 intermediate throws. Harris also has a tendency to not look at his shorter routes, throw off back foot and we throw out of I - formation too much (probably for protection purposes).

I'm not blaming him for wanting the ball, just go out there and bust your arse.

When LF was asked about his 87 yard TD called back, he said that wasn't his TD that was called back, that was LSUs.

Great point. I saw that on one of those early deep posts thrown the other night, the tight end was WIDE open crossing the field yet Harris threw it deep. It was a bootleg in the first quarter I believe.

The young man has figured it out.
I've had the same question for several years.
Why recruit the best Wide receivers when a great athelete that is a better blocker.

Several of the posts he threw were into single coverage behind safeties that were playing within 7-8 yards of the line at the snap. I don't know if he can really be blamed for the reads, but he definitely didn't see some of the open guys in the intermediate range.

Some of the older, more educated and successful posters totally get it.

Interesting quote from Dupre
OBJ and Jarvis didn't say that. It's not LSU's fault. Catch the ball and you will get the looks you desire.

OBJ and Jarvis had the only dependable Quarterback throwing to them that Miles has brought to LSU.

So that's why all the WRs in the NFL are from passing college teams. If you can't run routes, block and catch the damn ball it won't matter were you went to school. Why does he think LSU receivers do good in the NFL? Because they are taught the little things.

Also a good point. However, those type of shots down field are low percentage passes, and we might end up with a line like 4 for 15. However, when we hit those completions, the yards are big. See Syracuse game.

Thing is those guys are plenty talented enough. And I'd take a talented effort over ineffective slightly more talented any day of the week as well.

Something to consider is how oftern we play against "stacked boxes" due to the LF threat. If the majority of a D is playing shallow, those short to intermediate passes are made into a log jam of defenders. This is the main reason we see so many intermediate to deep passes when we do pass the ball. That and they are typically in a one on one coverage situation. I would love to see us baiting defenses into giving us some more intermediate routes, but it's a double edged sword I think. If you are going to have a LF on the team, you are going to deal with a lot of traffic within 10-15 yard from the line of scrimmage on passing plays.
