Points of emphasis for NBA referees this season: illegal screens, verticality and when continuation begins on drives to the basket.
I'm looking at you, Golden State.

A new champion will be crowned.

who cares?
they will stop calling it after the first month just like every other point of emphasis they've come out with in the past.

If they call it right, Draymond Green should average about 4 offensive fouls a game.

and once they start calling it, people will flip out about how the refs control the game too much and how much tougher the game was in the 80s. basically what we have in football now

How about travelling?

What are they gonna emphasis about verticality?

A player can leave the floor if they are straight up and not be called for a blocking foul. It's constantly called wrong and will continue to be.

It's a difficult call to make to be fair.

Agree. I don't blame officials for missing most calls. It's tough.
Now turning a blind eye when Draymond Green is assaulting players on off ball screens does tend to bother me.
And Bogut getting away with every loose ball foul imaginable also bothers me. Not sure he's ever properly boxed out in his life.

Do they ever call traveling, three seconds or technicals for hanging on the rim?

yes

three seconds
offensive or defensive?
(the answer is still, "yes")

or technicals for hanging on the rim?
it's very rare (because nobody does it anymore) but yes

I thought the Rocketard narrative was that Coward is called for too many illegal screens?

Illegal screens was a point of emphasis last season....

Nobody did it like the Warriors, and you know it. I'm not butthurt at all. The Warriors were the best team in the NBA last year. But many teams have improved this year. With good officiating, they won't repeat
