This was the win where people could see the program was moving in the right direction
This is the most important game I've ever attended, essentially helping us end 6 straight losing seasons by finally putting us over the hump. It was our first chance to wear white jerseys at home since the early 80's, and was the first real hard-sellout tough ticket in my lifetime. It was a rowdy, ear-splitting loud crowd from start-to-finsh, and really did help Bring Back the Magic.
It really did bring the passion back to Tiger Football, and laid the foundation for future success

Of all the games I've listened to Jim Hawthorne call on the radio, this is the one that stands out the most for me. Big wins seemed bigger in those days.

leaving the student section walking up north stadium drive was so much fun. everyone was on cloud 9

It was the hottest I have ever been in my life and that includes jungle training in Panama.

Remember it like it was yesterday. I was ten years old. Our tickets are about ten rows from the top of the lower bowl and my dad decided to walk to the bottom section to watch the last little bit of the game. We ended up being on the first or second row at the goal line right where Twillie made the interception. Such a great memory.

Need to bring back the "whistle" safety this weekend.

This game was not televised because Auburn was on probation (go figure). It was a hard ticket to get.

Was supposed to go to that game. Had my National Registry paramedic boards all that day. Curled up with a cold beer and WWL that night and listened.

Yes, this was one of most intense games to attend;
bizarre as is, JH almost threw another pick six near the end that was dropped.
The Nix last second pass had winning six point TD all over it and took seemed like an eternity when TT jumped up and snagged.
TS went wild like nothing seen in a while.
The magic was back, but every other week as was the case with JD! Pretty sure the next week was drilled by UF, beat MS, beat OM, lose UK, lose gumps,beat Lil Nicky's Mich St in I Bowl.

I was there too. "Bring Back the Magic" game, and for that you will never hear me say a cross word about Gerry Dinardo. He was LSU football's savior before Nick Saban.

Yes, remember it very vividly. We tailgated on S Stadium across from the dairy, huge BBQ and gang. About an hour before kick off my wife dropped a knife and cut her leg wide open. Absolutely needed stitches. I thought she would divorce me when I told here, someone will bring you to the emergency room, I'm heading to the stadium. She took her ticket with her and hobbled in half way through the second quarter on crutches and all stitched up. great game, Troy Twilly interception topped off an incredible day in Tiger Stadium!
