Johnnys Pizza on Highland

First time I have ever seen an entire restaurant get up and leave. I waited over an hour for a pizza that didn't come. Others said they waited longer. At least 20 people just left. Amazing.

Don't you pay when you order at the counter or is that just for the lunch buffet?

They were giving out free pizza coupons like crazy. Most people refused them. I predict it won't last six more months.

What was the reason for action? Really slow getting the pizzas out? Could they not complete the orders?
I won't say it is my favorite pizza, but it is the closest option to where I live. And of all the times I have ordered from there, they only screwed up my order once.

it's north Louisiana junk food

Did they say why it was taking so long or did they just let people sit, wait, and wonder what was going on? If the latter, I would have grabbed some cheese and peppers shakers on the way out.

They had one open in Hammond for a few months and the place sucked. The food was bad and the service was worse. Thankfully it closed and a new Mexican joint is opening.

South LA Johnny's doesn't compare to North LA Johnny's at all for some reason.
Highland Road is OK, but I haven't eaten there in well over a year.
Hammond was not good, which is why it closed.
Covington is OK for a once in a while pie, but there are several places in town that are superior to their product.

I've always viewed this place as a gleaming example how much the food in north La must suck. The way people up there pine over that mediocre pizza place is depressing.

Everyone from North Louisiana raves about Johnny's. I have yet to figure out why.

Ha. A supervisor at my office who is from Winnsboro ordered Johnny's for a department meeting last week and I nabbed a leftover slice. It was legit.

Unless I was getting free beer or it was super bowl Sunday there isn't a chance I am waiting that long for food.

Food in north LA is an atrocity

Paid online and couldn't get a refund or they were too stupid to know how to do it. If I was ever going back I'd care, but I'm done. Too many good pizza places in Baton Rouge and surrounding areas.

Place is a disgrace, and is far from the standard set by the establishment on McKeen.

Much better pizza in north la than on highland for whatever reason.
