I'm not one to really give a shite about the "GMO-Free, Sustainable" marketing terms. But what really turned me off of Chipotle was the way it marketed itself as healthy. Maybe they didn't actually say this; maybe it was just patrons saying it.

But I ate at Chipotle a few times and was excited to think that it was something higher quality, fresher, and healthier than other fast food joints I could go to.

Then I looked up the calorie info. A burrito without cheese and sour cream was still somehow 600+ calories. That's not including chips. I typically enjoy adding guacamole, which adds about 250 more calories.

I can get a similar burrito at Moe's with more vegetable topping options and with guacamole, keep it at 450 calories.

And finally, when I learned that their kids menu options were 400+ calories, I was done.

Got nothing against Chipotle, but I was in a discussion the other day about all the fat fricks that are in your average Chipotle. I think similar to "fat free" and "diet" options (which you always see that fat fricks with carts of the crap piled high at the store), it's deceptive.

They think it's "healthy" becauseof the marketing. Meanwhile, they're showing down their sub-BMR weight loss goal in calories at one sitting.
