But to the OP's point the first day of school production wasn't like this at all for the old's like us who grew up in the 70's and 80's. Our moms were born in the 40's, 50's or 60's and, God forbid, had to actually show us they loved us one on one without worrying how much their love for us was perceived by the other mothers within eye shot.
Want to impress me, perfect social media mommy of today? Post a pic of you reading a book to your child at bed time. I've never seen one. But congrats on the monogrammed book bag Jr. has and Spinkles cup cakes sampler you lovingly gave Mrs. Crabtree this morning. The picture of him handing it to her with a hug will result in all A's for you in Likes...
