I take a ton of pics and videos of my son. I don't have very many of me as a baby and it annoys me.
I only post a few to social media for family who ask for them, but mostly they are for us and him when he gets older.

What gets me are the parents who wait in their cars at the bus stop so their little darlings don't have to walk 100' to get home.
what kind of shitty parent makes their kid ride the bus?

Both my parents took my to kindergarten 23 years ago.
The first day of school is actually a big deal dude. You're 4 or 5 and embarking on the biggest and most important change of your life.
You're name idiot if you think it's weird for parents to go with their kid to the first day of kindergarten.

I think he is saying that people overdo it is all. No need to take the whole day off to accomplish seeing your kid off to Kindergarten and no need to act like the kid cured cancer for doing something that every kid in America does.

I doubt people are taking the entire day off. I'm sure they go to work after they drop the kid off.
and everyone shits...but you better believe I act like my 2 year old just cured cancer when she tells us she needs to poo and then shits in the toilet

There is positive reinforcement and there is going too far. Some go too far is all OP was saying.

no doubt
just don't think both parents taking the kid to school on the first day and taking a few pictures is "too far"
its mostly likely the parents just trying to get the kid to be excited about school, so they act overly excited

Posting the pictures of Facebook is the most efficient way to show these pictures to long distance family.
As well as any aspiring Jerry Sanduskys out there.

Similar to the people that are offended by pictures showing up on their news feeds? At the least the parents have a reason to justify their overboardness.

But do you have him pose with the poo?
Pose with the poo...sounds like a new trend I can get gullible white women to go all in for.
Start a Pinterest page for it. Pose with the poo pics. Potty Parties.
Push presents for your kids...
shite...this has Potential.

I know a guy who is a stay-at-home dad (don't get me started) and he said he drank a six pack of beer by 10:00 the day school started back. Then he played a round of golf and met the school bus just in time. Mayne, frick that guy.

I take pictures and bring my kid to school but I don't take the whole day off or post them online. What does that make me?

Not that I know of. But, I'm sure the parents who dropped their kids off with Jerry S to hang out at Penn St thought the same thing.
