I am thinking about going to the LSU/South Carolina game. Anyone been there before?

I went in '95 and '03. Pretty fun. Worth the trip I'd say.

I live about an hour from the stadium. Been to lots of games. Most of the fans are friendly and they are some of the most loyal and devoted fans I have ever seen. I think you would enjoy the trip. Should be a good game.

Went in 08 and had a great time. Its one of the nore low key, relax and have fun type of atmospheres. The Sandstorm stuff gets old but is fun.

Stadium is in a weird spot and there was a fair going on so parking was a bitch.

I was there in 95 I think...fans were nice and I had a good time. I believe it was the last tie in SEC history.

It's not on USCe's campus.

We parked in the grass along Shop Road near Shuman-Owens Supply Company and it wasn't a far walk to the stadium. I think Walk On's might have rented their parking lot for a tailgate party. I remember paying $20 all you can eat.

Map of area

If you look at the street view of the map, you'll see fenced off area with lots of grass to park along the side of the road.

Like anywhere else, gotta get there early to park there.

03. Visitor upper deck seating in end zone, looking down you can't (or couldn't then anyway) see the actual end zone. Not great sight lines. Otherwise ok place, good atmosphere outside stadium.

My dad and I went in 08. The stadium was in the middle of a huge parking lot, but tailgating was fun and the fans were accomodating.

The game experience was also fun, but noticeably quieter than Tiger Stadium. Overall, I would go back to Williams-Brice in a heartbeat.

Went in 08. Tailgating is more NFL-style. It helped that the state fair was going on right by the campus.

Columbia is very cool...people are great. Sometimes I wish we lived in the state.

Worst road trip in sec. Off campus. Terrible atmosphere. Won't go back.

Went in 08 flew into North Carolina and drove down. Stopped and played golf at a course named Tobacco Road. Great experience. Got to game 4 hours before game time and tailgated with some supper people under the stadium. We were just walking around and they stopped us and invited us in. Sorry I cant make it this year everyone going have fun.

Yes. One of the better SEC trips. We spend a night in Savannah then a couple of nights in Charleston first.

I've been twice and enjoyed it both times. As others have said, the stadium is off campus and parking can be a problem, especially when the state fair is in town, which it will be this year. Nice stadium but they give the visitors pretty crappy seats. We were literally in the top row of the upper deck. Once LSU had the game in hand, the USCe fans started leaving and we moved down to better seats. 2001 and Sandstorm are pretty lame, but their fans eat that crap up. Overall a fun trip. The city itself isn't much to look at. It reminded me of a smaller version of Baton Rouge. The Vista area is pretty cool though.

Still a problem, as not much has been done to improve the actual stadium, just the surrounding area. At least the stadium is clean and well-maintained.

Williams-Brice is an anomaly as far as South Carolina's athletic facilities go, in that it isn't one of the best in the SEC. I'd have to rank it in the bottom half of the conference stadiums.

All I care about as far as away stadiums is that the seats I get have a decent view of the field, and that both restrooms and concessions are nearby and easy to get to. WB grades low in those respects.
