They should be making firing off the ball and Getting penetration the priority. Also getting off blocks. Stripping the ball should be the #4 priority

O was working with the DBs and LBs

But, calling Steele a real DC over Chavis sounds ridiculous at this point. Steele is going to pay big dividends on the recruiting trail, but he will have to prove himself as a DC IMO.

He's been much better at teaching our position groups and being more active in practices. Chavis would sit in a corner and yell at people. Steele is working with the DL, LBs, and DBs, all while he creates gameplans for future opponents.

Chavis won a National Title at UT and was the main reason they won it. In 2011 LSU had one of the best teams of all time and it was again mainly due to Chavis' defense. So say what you want about the guy, but he has proven himself a lot more as a DC than Steele has up until now. Now I'm not saying Steele won't be as good, this will be his first time driving a Cadillac so to speak.... so who knows? Hopefully with everything he will have at his disposal, LSU will have FILTHY defenses for years to come! But he has not proven anything yet.
