quote:Tyrann Mathieu had a terrific game. Nevertheless, the offense scored four touchdowns, 28 points. Georgia scored 10. LSU wins without the Honey Badger.
Tyrann Mathieu and the rest of the LSU defense won that game for LSU.
quote:The second play of those three straight off tackle plays was a zone read. LSU ran the ball better when Jefferson was the QB. The defense had to account for his running ability, the career leading rusher of LSU QBs.
Mathieu had a 47 yard punt return down to the UGA 17 yard line. We then ran off tackle three straight plays for a TD. How do you give credit to Jefferson for that?
quote:LSU's offense scored four TDs. Jefferson worked the option and the zone read, AND Jefferson threw a TD pass and NO interceptions. I'm sure his Georgia counterpart wished he had fewer turnovers in the SECCG.
Jefferson had two drives that ENTIRE GAME that went over 4 plays, FOUR PLAYS

quote:I am NOT arguing that Jefferson should have played in the NFL. Are you? If not, why are even asking this question.quote:why didn't anyone else pick him up?
Jefferson was waived so that Tampa Bay could have a replacement for Da'Quan Bowers, a projected starter who suffered a probable season-ending injury.
quote:Well, he was better than Lee.
his grades were low because he was fundamentally the worst QB prior to the combine and was after the combine.
quote:Huh?
i'm sure every QB it the combine was invited to someone's training camp and many more that weren't.
quote:He was invited by the NFL. Lee was not. Those are facts.
that doesn't really help prove jefferson was good.
quote:Lee was cut. Jefferson was waived.
Lee stayed at a camp much, much longer than jefferson.

Lee earned an NFL paycheck for longer than Jefferson. That's also a fact

Lee was not drafted either.
Lee was signed before Jefferson by a whole week?
Is there something else to which you are referring?

Lee was picked up by someone before Jefferson and actually stuck around long enough to play in 4 preseason games. If Jefferson was so much better, why did no one else give him a shot in the preseason?
Did someone else pick up Lee when he was cut?

Ware did not have his back turned when Jefferson started his motion to pass
It's very unfortunate timing.
Dipshit.

They were both signed to be camp arms.
Are you actually suggesting that Lee had a career in the NFL . . . or should have?

I'm suggesting Jefferson couldn't even find his way to an NFL camp period. Lee at least managed to play in 4 preseason games, regardless of what his purpose was in camp. No one gave Jefferson the time of day. Jefferson couldn't even make it to OTAs with a team

Jefferson was unfortunate to be the starting QB against an Alabama team that was desperate for redemption. LSU should have never had to play Bama in the BCSCG. LSU beat Bama in their house. There should not have been a rematch.
Lee is fortunate that he did not have to face that Bama team in the BCSCG. He would have played worse than Jefferson. That's my opinion, but it's strongly supported by Lee's history as a QB, Lee's history against Bama, and the way Bama played in the BCSCG.

But honestly, if you want to play this game, Jefferson played pro football longer than Lee.

why do you continue to intentionally remove two horrible games so it makes Jefferson look better?

but he did play against them and was AWFUL

why is it that in 2010, when LSU had to throw to win or seal games late, Lee came in for Jefferson? See Alabama, Tennessee, Florida,

Lee saw the writing on the wall. Jefferson has resorted to playing in 4 team leagues created for washups with no prayer of making the NFL

His regular season 2011 stats are much better than Lee's.
quote:By the grace of God, Lee is blessed such that no one can PROVE it. He had a terrible history against Bama. It was wretched and awful. That's why the coaching staff selected Jefferson to play against Bama.quote:prove it
Lee is fortunate that he did not have to face that Bama team in the BCSCG. He would have played worse than Jefferson.
quote:Lee came in against Bama in 2010 because Jefferson was hurt. Lee came in against Tennessee and Florida because he was the two-minute offense QB.
why is it that in 2010, when LSU had to throw to win games late, Lee came in for Jefferson? See Alabama, Tennessee, Florida,
In the Tennessee game, LSU had three scoring drives. Jefferson led two of the scoring drives. Lee did lead the final two LSU drives. He threw an interception on the first of those drives. On the final drive, Lee failed on third down to keep the drive alive. Fortunately for Lee, LSU had nothing to lose by going for it on 4th down. Jefferson did not have that luxury throughout the game. Jefferson had to get 10 yards in three downs. Lee got four down to get 10 yards. To Lee's credit, he was able to get a first down on fourth down. Jefferson successfully finished that final drive.
In the Florida game, Jefferson had 42 yards rushing and 100 yards passing; Lee had 124 yards passing. Jefferson rushed for two TDs; Lee threw for two TDs. Jefferson led two scoring drives. Lee came on the final drive because he was the two-minute drill QB in 2010. He failed on third down to keep the drive alive. Good job, Lee.
In the Alabama game, Jefferson was 10 of 13. Lee was 4 of 7. Jefferson threw a brilliant TD pass. Lee completed an important 47 yard pass on third down. Good job, Lee.

My God, this dudes sucks off Jefferson worse than chilge sucks off Anthony Jennings. Face it, JJ was a terrible qb. So was Lee. It was an extreme dark period for the position at LSU

You really love you some JJ

It's hard to imagine anyone playing worse than JJ. I don't think it's possible.

In the Tennessee game,
Jordan jefferson was 3/10 for 30 Yds with 2 INTs
Jarrett Lee was 16/23 for 185 YDs
But I guess it's because Jefferson couldn't go for it on 4th down

So Lee won the game for LSU? Thanks for clearing that up

why was Lee in the game when we needed to pass for a first down?

why was Lee our two minute QB? it's ok, you can say it
