Sorry I guess I was distracted by all the blowouts to care about how many total yards the offense had
Yeah, Lee played 4 of the 5 worst defenses . . .

Do you not find it odd Jefferson's tryout in the NFL lasted 20 min. At least Lee was a competent enough QB to last through an NFL preseason.
Where are you getting this shite from? Jefferson signed a FA contract with the Buccaneers and was waived when Da'Quan Bowers was lost for the season and the team needed to acquire DT depth.

Looks like pretty damn efficient QB play.
Jefferson was MORE efficient in the regular season. From Jefferson's first pass attempt through his last pass attempt, Jefferson was MORE efficient than Lee.

I don't care how good these defenses were 5/13 30yds and 11/17 53 yds 1 int is embarrassing.

I was exaggerating, clearly. He lasted a few days and didn't play a single snap at any point in the NFL. He got cut from the practice squad in the CFL. He was cut from the arena league after going 1-5. Dude is bad. He was not underrated. He's just not good at football

quote:That is a beautiful strawman you have constructed. I didn't blame LSU's defense. But I guess I can't stop you from making up your own arguments to destroy.quote:you're right. It definitely was that lazy arse defense. Keeping Alabama's offense to 5 field goals through 3 1/2 quarters
Jefferson did not play well in the BCSCG, but that game does not fall on Jefferson.
quote::smh:
while the offense, led by Jefferson, couldn't cross the 50.
Do you really believe that LSU's offense did not cross the 50?
Really?

Alabama did NOT score any points off of that turnover.

uhh, no he wasn't. if you just want to use games started in the regular season and not take into account games where the two split time... (btw, Lee led the SEC in efficiency going into the Alabama game)
Jarrett Lee:
101/162 13 TDs 3 INTs 1274 YDs
Jordan Jefferson
33/50 3 TDs 1 INT 464 yards
And to totally ignore Jefferson's performance in the last two games is idiotic

No, you saw the "20 minutes" posted on page 1 of this thread and you believed it.
Jefferson was invited to the NFL combine and performed very well. Jefferson got a starting gig in the Arena league. Jefferson led his team to the XFL championship game.

Lee had an efficiency rating of 157.3 going into the Alabama game.
Jefferson had an efficiency rating of 229.3 going into the Alabama game.
You really need to learn the facts. You just continue to post bullshite that you "think" you know. Like the "20 minute" Tampa Bay tryout.

i thought we were only using stats in games the two STARTED? Lee split time with jefferson, yet you are using his lack of numbers in those 5 games against Lee. Going into the Alabama game Lee had thrown for over 1200 yards and 13 TDs to only 1 INT, while splitting time in more than half of his starts. Jefferson played against two horrible teams and played the game of his career against Arkansas. he then followed that up with the two single worst games as a QB in LSU history. jefferson was fricking garbage

well you keep using "games where Lee started" and our total offensive production, as if Jefferson wasn't a contributing factor. Maybe, just maybe, we were beating the shite out of most those teams going into half time and ran the clock the rest of the game. Nah, couldn't be

No. LSU's offense failed against Alabama
And the leader of the offense was?????? So I guess that perfect pass to Ware[with his backed turned was someone else fault>>>>> Face it ...the dude went out and partied the night before and was totally confused and unfocused to lead a team in the most important game of his life.....

Dude, really?!?!
Lee's efficiency using YOUR numbers = 151.2
Jefferson's efficiency using YOUR numbers = 159.7
BTW, using YOUR numbers, Jefferson has a higher completion percentage and a higher yards per attempt average.
