Lots of people are doing that. It seems like an appealing life for 1-3 years. We are planning on buying ours at 55 and semi retiring while just taking several 3-4 week trips a year until 60.

We've talked about it and both agree we would probably spend the first year or so traveling across the country from place to place then after that settle down to where we stay somewhere south in the winters and somewhere north in the summers. I think with it just being the two of us, living in a 5th wheel would not be an issue. The way they've got them set up now, they've got everything you'll need and all the comforts of home.
