Is There an Insurance Telephone Scam Going On?

Over the past week, I have received 4 calls from individuals saying that they work for 4 different very reputable insurance companies claiming that they have the insurance quotes that I requested on line...trouble is, I have never requested an insurance quote on line.
I have no problem pretty quickly disposing of these folks...however, this appears to be just too much of a coincidence at this point.
is anyone else getting these calls?.....

Clicked on any adds recently? It's almost definitely not a scam. It's just your info being sold by some lead generation company. Insurance agencies buy them and the leads are sold multiple times, so probably Allstate, State Farm, Liberty Mutual, etc., all have the same info. And they're generating quotes and calling you.

I've gotten about the same number of calls this past week.
They're scams for sure. Robocalls ranging from insurance to credit card debt consolidation, etc.
Just don't answer calls that you don't recognize. If it's important, they'll leave a message. Then block sales/scam numbers as you get them.
Just an FYI- the more calls you answer, the more calls you'll be added to.

As mentioned above, if you've clicked on some ads, it can do that, or if you or anybody else on your computer took a survey, that is usually the reason for it.

I got a couple of the IRS ones. Call now to pay or they are seizing your accounts.
I guess people don't realize the IRS computers spit out letters for a year or more or field agents shows up at your door if you're really doing bad stuff.
The insurance quote ones would be good to use to harrass someone, I suppose.
