quote:where in the article is the government persecuting these people?
because frick the 1st amendment, right?
And if you're so pro first amendment then don't you support the rights of the bikers and veterans go express their opinions just the same ?
This is actually exactly how this should work.
No government involvement, two groups of people free to speak their ideals in a common place.

Yes. You did.

So the classic definition of ´biker´, AKA Hell´s Angels, is not what we´re talking about, correct?
I'm not 100% sure what all MC's were involved in this protest. But I did see a picture in another link where some of the bikers were wearing the golden hammer that signifies at least support for the HA's.
He is wearing a Sgt-At-Arms patch but I can't make out the club name. It's something "Sons". He and the other bikers behind him look to have some red & white patches so I'd guess this is a HA support club.

but that DOES show the complete hypocrisy of the bikers. they bitch about "free speech" but god forbid anyone say something they disagree with. so silly.
they don't even realize that they've helped the SJW's cause 100 fold.

I am a little confused. The SJW's said their mission was to burn the flag to gripe about police brutality. Halfway through it changed to combatting racism and genocide, then changed to bitching because the counter protestors refused to become SJW's.
It is clear that they are unclear about what they want. Their total ineptitude in defining any point turned their little protest into a WTF moment.
At least they got a little needed cardio when they were tucking tail and running from the counter protestors. Keyboard bitching provides no cardio benefit.

The SJWs get their strength from the attention they receive when they make some outlandish statement, which results in a somewhat over the top response from the other side, which then generates more attention and more media coverage.
If more people just ignored some of the SJW articles and blog postings they wouldn't get nearly as much traction. However when one blogger post something and then gets huge response from the other side, you just allowed one person to bring tons of attention to the issue that otherwise would have gone unnoticed.

If find it amazing how many here think that just ignoring these "SJW" idiots will make them go away.
Posted on 7/2/15 at 10:50 am to Darth_Vader
Ignoring them is far more likely to make them go away than a bunch of fruitcakes dressed in leather trying to intimidate them.

1st Amendment protects you from the government, not from your fellow citizens, as the SJWs pushing gay marriage have very effectively taught everyone.

which do you think is a better tactic?
giving them more attention and aggressively trying to shut them up?
or ignoring them?
when has the first tactic EVER worked?

my point is the hypocrisy of people who only support free speech when they agree with it.
Then don't use the 1st Amendment in your argument unless it's some government functionary or group trying to silence private citizens.
Private citizens trying to silence each other is a vastly different creature than a government trying to silence private citizens. Trying to use the First Amendment to make your case shows only that you don't really understand the First Amendment and thus takes away far more from your argument than it could ever add to it (except to those likewise ignorant of the extent of the First Amendment).

Well the second tactic has been tried for going on 50 years and it's not worked worth a shite.
