What is the point when they have a 7,500 deductible? They can't afford to go to the doctor now, same as before.

Damn shame Freedom of Speech only applies to certain people.
Its a shame some of the people so insistent on a return to the values of our founders have so little understanding of the actual content of the Bill of Rights.
Here's a basic refresher-- the 1st amendment does-- prevent the Government from arresting anyone for speaking out. The 1st amendment does not-- prevent companies from firing people for what they say-- you might have a case if Trump was fired for say voting a certain way, but the 1st doesn't let you say whatever you want with no reprecussions from anyone. This isn't just a mistake the right makes (though they make it more often) remember back in the 00s when the Dixie Chicks got dropped from radio stations for speaking out against the Iraq War-- well that also wasn't a violation of the 1st Amendment.

You have business degrees, right?
Explain how a massive hit to the economics of the country is beneficial to give insurance (and that doesn't mean care) to some people... About 5 million... When tens of millions lost the care they enjoyed?
Tia.

My insurance rates through my company nearly doubled overnight. From $730.00 to $1350.00 per month. I called the agent, and he said it was Obamacare. My deductible and co-pay both increased as well.
How in the f*ck was that fair to me?

Okay that's not true. I don't have a history degree nor a direct quote from the 'designers of the system' But I did quickly find this from George Washington Wikipedia about his Farewell Address(not sure if it's 100% accurate).
But sure seems that Ole George disagreed with you.

quote:
While Washington accepts the fact that it is natural for people to organize and operate within groups like political parties, he also argues that every government has recognized political parties as an enemy and has sought to repress them because of their tendency to seek more power than other groups and take revenge on political opponents.[12]
Moreover, Washington makes the case that "the alternate domination" of one party over another and coinciding efforts to exact revenge upon their opponents have led to horrible atrocities, and "is itself a frightful despotism. But this leads at length to a more formal and permanent despotism." From Washington's perspective and judgment, the tendency of political parties toward permanent despotism is because they eventually and "gradually incline the minds of men to seek security and repose in the absolute power of an individual."[13]

Wow. Better read that quote from George again.
His comment was that partys would lead to despots... Not that you need to compromise.
In fact, his argument about the individual and not the party points to even more fervent debate from even more disparate viewpoints.
Seriously.. Read what you quoted again.

I didn't say it was fair. I no longer have a co-pay. Moved kids to their mom's insurance. Put money in my HSA for high deductible. It was a challenge. I overcame. I am no longer bitter.

I got what he was saying. I actually figured you'd interpret it differently. Which is exactly what's wrong with this country. Interpretations of who's right and just and who's trying to frick the other in the arse.
The rest of the quote I dug up kinda sounds like he thought parties would always be trying to frick the others in the arse and it was NOT a good thing.

Lol. Do you even know the arguments and years of debate surrounding those items?
Seriously... You should read them. It is exceedingly adversarial debate that got to aa pointthat both sides didn't even really like.
Good god.

Actually, the rest of it is about having only one party in power.
