I got an LG 50" 1080P 120Hz a year ago for 600. Mad I didn't go with 240hz though. I knew better

I'm looking for an established model that will last. When I bought my Samsung 1080p led 3d a little over three years ago, it was one of the first 3d smart tvs. It went out in just 3 years and has had dead pixels for the past year or so. I want a tv that better use out of.

I had one delivered on Saturday. Beautiful television. I bought from Amazon Warehouse Deals, new with slightly damaged packaging. It was $610.

We have a Vizio 'M' series that we got last year, 50". It's just a great fricking TV.

The "B" at the end of the model # indicates it's last year model

Would a 2014 model Sony be better than a 2015 E series Vizio? Serious question because they are similar in cost. The 2015 model Sony and M series Vizio are out of the price I want to spend

I've been looking, lately, and to be honest, the 2014 Sony models seem to carry much better reviews, overall, than the 2015 models - at least from the core picture quality reviews - now I don't know if this means Sony dropped the ball on their 2015 (FTR, I'm a Sony-first guy) models, 2nd/3rd tier makers have upped their game, or expectations are just high for Sony - or some combination.
But I would use that fact in making your decision - in that the 2014s were reviewed better - so you risk is low at a lower cost, IMHO.

I am looking for the same.
Can someone explain the difference in the E series and M series Vizio as if you were speaking to a child?

I think it's just 1080p vs 4k

M is brighter than E

Visio P Series 50" is I believe 599 right now. Not bad at all for a 4k TV

After searching, it looks like M series are now 4K as well. Not sure of the pricing comparison or specs of the two, but I like my LED M series I picked up last year a lot. It's not the 4k though.

The 'P' series screens are serious business. That's not a terrible price for it either. I'm eyeballing the 70" 'P' for the basement theater this black Friday if I can find a deal.

The current P series for sale are the 2014 model, BTW - Vizio will update this (their top of the line) in the fall.
Best performance/price balance for 4k (pretty much true for all 3 of Vizio's current lines, almost without question, although their upscaling and smart apps don't get very good reviews.)

Where did you see the P series for 599?
