A few years back, there was some sweet tea-flavored vodka that was popular as hell...so popular that all of the stores were selling out of it.
I have heard nothing about it in a number of years...what happened to the stuff?...
Charleston's Firefly Sweet Tea Vodka.
It's still around ... we drink it here all the time. We're just staying real quiet about it because we don't want the shooting blamed on it and subsequently have it banned.

I would mix it with a bit of water and a squeeze of a lemon wedge. Tasted just like real tea.
This. You'll kill a whole bottle before you realize how much you drank. And that's when the fun starts

I read somewhere that Firefly was started by LSU and S. Carolina grads
Actually no.
Firefly was started by USC grads, true, and the distillery is on Waccamaw Island just off the SC coast.
Four or five years ago Sazerac Distributors, who is owned by some LSU grads from what I understand, signed a deal to be the sole nationwide distributor for all the Firefly brands.

My wife still buys deep eddy's regularly. Not my thing though

Makes the best sweet tea mojito
That sounds delicious
Wonder how a sweet tea vodka moscow mule type drink would taste?

I used to keep a bottle in the outside deep freeze and would swig on it while cutting the grass. I ran the riding Snapper over an azalea bush and through the wood fence and almost into the neighbors pool.
Wife made me quit drinking it.

I am buying some for the 4th of July. A couple bottles of that combined with South Dakota's liberal fireworks regulations, what could go wrong?

I used to mix it with Pink Lemonade and it was a "John Daly"

I used to feed it to my wife like water during her sexual peak days from 35-45 ... man those were some great days. That stuff was like Viagra for women when it came to her. Anything was a go - I still fap to some of the stuff she did back then.
Nowadays I drink it and keep it all to myself to try to deaden the nagging and bitching.
So I guess it is some really versatile stuff in the overall scheme of things.

On the rocks with a little water and next thing I know I'm down a fith. Mix with lemonade and it's a hell of an Arnold Palmer

Sounds interesting. Where might one procure a bottle?

I have a bottle in my liquor cabinet all the time. Mix with lemonade or water and lemon.

Firefly was the most popular. Deep Eddy tastes much better. Anyone of them is dangerous if you're a fan of tea.
Throwback. Haven't had Firefly since 2008 on a road trip to Athens. We literally desroyed shite after going through a handle
It's almost like everclear. You don't really realize how much you've had to drink until it's too late

Just about anywhere. Rouse's carries it, Rite Aid, etc. I like it 50/50 with water most of the time. We also like to get the Minute Maid 5 cal Lemonade and mix it about 60/40...Firefly to Minute Maid. Easy to drink man. Like they said, you forget you're drinking vodka.
