What's your best restaurant bbq shrimp?

There's so much variation on this dish, I'm wondering what kind people like the best. Personally, the best I have had have been at Palace Cafe. They have a darker and thicker sauce than most others I have had. I'm a fan of the darker/thicker saucers with bbq shrimp. I can get a plate of these and a few pieces of bread and call it a nice light meal.

Most people here probably make it at home.

I like my home version better than any restaurant preparation I've had.

Same here. And half of it's gonna be on my shirt after I'm done. Can't do that in a restaurant.

I made some in the oven recently in a casserole dish. Liberal amounts of butter, worchestire, lemon juice, pinot grigio, garlic, onions and Tony's. Just tails unfortunately.

Mr. B's makes the best.
I prefer homemade.

I don't order them out much, but I like Mr. B's and I like the app at Emeril's, but both of those versions are easily made at home and I've made both a number of times. I can't recall if I'd had them anywhere else other than Manale's which I will not eat again.
Someone I know got some at Deanie's for some reason and I think he said he sent them back.

Wasn't me,,, I prefer homemade, but love Deanies..

I haven't been to the Deanie's in the FQ ever, so I can't speak to the dish. Might have been a bad night or something. He didn't like the boiled crawfish there either.

Are there any recipes posted on the F&D Board for BBQ Shrimp? I would LOVE to make some at home.

Check the TD Recipe Book and thread. I know we've had threads on bbq shrimp several times.
Also, you can look up the recipe for Mr. B's and some other places.
Something as simple as melted butter, lots of black pepper, worcestershire, salt and lemons is delicious. That's all I used to do when I first made them.
Here's Mr. B's recipe.

This is my favorite BBQ recipe I've made. LINK It's from one of the chef's in the Brennen Restaurant group. I love it.

Thanks. I'll have to check that out at home (stupid work doesn't let me access Drop Box).

Awesome! Thanks to you both!

That's one is similar to Dickie's Brennan's version, I believe, though I think he adds the garlic to the hot pan first.
ETA: Red Fish Grill is what I was thinking of, I believe.

I must say, that looks way easier than I thought it would be. Definitely going to have to try this.

too dirty of a dish to be eating at a nice restaurant, especially when you have multiple dishes. id rather eat at home where i can slop the juice around like a caveman with my hands, bread, and shrimp

Extremely easy to make a good one and there are a number of ways to do it, all of them easy.
Jones...and I like to not have to go too far after I've chowed down on bbq shrimp. It's hard not to fill up on the bread and eat until you've overdone it.
