Yeah, just like burning the american flag. We all saw what happened at LSU.

but why go out of your way to start shite?
I wouldn't, and personally think it's a dick move (because the majority of muslims will disregard these shenanigans and go on with their life) but they have every right to do so without threat of violence

Yes it's your right to do that should you so choose

Yep, If it was his right, why couldn't he burn it in peace without the threat of violence.

There is no if about it. The Supreme Court has said flag burning is covered by the first amendment.
In case you need a refresher, the first amendment protects your speech from the Government not other assholes who wish to do you harm.

IMHO he should have been allowed to given he followed all the appropriate rules/laws

That's the point. Flag burning is constitutionally protected by the first amendment. There are many things that you have a "constitutional right to do without the threat of violence" that are still really fricking stupid.
This accomplishes nothing.

Wow, you totally missed the whole point of the sentence.
I'm not saying that it isnt a right. I'm saying the people threatening him with violence don't think its a right.

This is a good opportunity for Muslims to show they can be non-violent. Freedom of Speech should not lead to a massacre.
The Westboro Baptist Church stuff never did, and most Americans would love to wipe them off the face of the Earth.
I wish I could upvote these thoughts more than once.
Someone gets it.

meh, im not saying tip toe lightly around anything, but the two guys that got shot went out of their way to go to dallas and cause something, and they are dead and that is great.
to go to the mosque to have your contest is looking for trouble.
im all for having the rally/contest and if someone tries to do something to you, frick them up, but dont go do it on their door step.

Cause a bunch of baws that love them some Murcia started throwing water bottles at him and the cops freaked out about the possibility of a riot / good ole fashioned lynching / public stoning

I agree that it is stupid. I do think it is amusing how people now use "ignorant" to describe anything they disagree with.

Just how many Muslims showed up to the one in Dallas?
This isn't about the First Amendment, it's about a bunch of dicks being a bunch of dicks. I don't get the point of deliberately trying to be offensive to any group of people. Absolutely nothing positive will come from this.

Is an open flame allowable on the campus at LSU?

I don't get why someone would hit a bee's nest then get pissed off when they get stung

IMO burning the American flag shouldn't be covered by the first ammendment
we should however pay for the cost of exporting any person who wanted to burn our flag

You think an acceptable response to someone insulting you verbally is to show up and try to shoot them?
WTF is wrong with you?

I have no idea and is why I included that. As long as he was within campus rules and local laws he should have been allowed to do it without threat of physical violence.
He was still a mush bearded FGT but this country has a lot of those
