Great stuff expandable foam for the yak

I'm thinking of filling some of the voids in my yak with expandable foam. Not so much for buoyancy but for rigidity in some places. How much you think it weighs per cubic foot? i don't want to add a bunch of extra weight but the kayak seems "soft" in a few areas. I don't use the space in there for storage except around the three batches. Good idea or no? Anyone else done it?

GREAT STUFF™ Pond & Stone is a polyurethane-based foam sealant designed for use in water features. By expanding to fill gaps and cracks, it works as a water-resistant sealant to help direct the flow of water in waterfall, pond and streambed construction to go where you want it to go, not under or behind rocks. The foam is black to blend in among the stones and shadows. It cures in 8 hours to create a water-shedding bond for stone, rock, masonry, concrete and most other building materials. It's perfect for water features from fountains to koi ponds because it's safe for fish.

Why not just order gallon, two part expandable foam? It's closed cell. Will not suck up water. You can get it in 2,4 and 8 lb.

I was going to go that route with my boat, but think I read a while back that Great Stuff will absorb water. Waterlogged foam would add a good bit of weight to your kayak.

Grey Closed Cell Crosslinked Polyethylene Foam. 2.0lb density. This is the product most people simply refer to as "outfitting foam" it is also known by the brand name Minicell This is the workhorse of any kayak or canoe outfitting project. It is the same product that you see throughout the kayak industry for center walls and outfitting.
You can sand it to shape it and you can glue it to itself and most any surface with contact cement.
DON'T use spray crap.

yeah. that's a whole other level, but pretty cheap!
eta: with my canoe, i was just sticking a big block under the yoke to prevent oil canning in an old (but good) Old Town Tripper
mine is 32 years old and cost $100, not $2400.
