We did St Kitts and Nevis for about $3000 and it isn't all inclusive
Where did you stay? $3k barely gets us the villa we have rented there for next year. St. Kitts is an island we are very excited about. Looks like it will be a great time.

Wife and I just got back from Playa del Carmen. stayed at the Palladium all inclusive for 5 nights for $1900. Spent another $100 in tips, (but did not have to). We had a fantastic time. Booked through Southwest vacations.

excellence resorts is in that price range and well worth it. IF you poke up a little more and get the vip package you have access to the better liquor like grey goose. Get a room on the first floor and the swim up package and the pool is right out of your back door.
The food is good, not great, but they just don't cook like we do down here.
There is also a spa called mile high spa. The best thing you can ever do for your body.
All you do is drink and relax. The staff is over the top nice from the managers to the towel ladies.

Sorry, I can't read

Exactly what bayouvette said.
I went to Excellence Dominican Republic (<$3k) and Sandals St. Lucia ($3k-5k+). Both were very relaxing, enjoyable vacations with plenty of alcohol, beach, and pool time. Compared to a cruise, it's worlds above. Clientele is not as trashy, a lot of Europeans, and the food is okay. It's not anything exotic, but it's decent quality and very edible. I'm not trying to go explore the palates of South Americans/Carribeans. I'm simply trying to enjoy the food and eat well. It accomplishes this.
They have better liquor, but you have to ask for it. If you don't request something special, you'll get cheap stuff. They hid the good stuff below the bar. None of the drinks were watered down, and you can always make specific requests in regards to alcohol. It's all included, so order what you want.
JTS, when are you going to Valentin? Been before? We're booked to go in July.

If you want to look away from all inclusive Caribbean, We're doing Puerto Rico this summer. Flight from MSY was around $350 per person. No passport needed, cell phone works, etc.
Staying here: LINK
Our entire trip will be around $2500, and we're not being budget conscious.

Are you looking to go 4-5 days or 7?

To anyone who has ever done a few all inclusives
1. Are they all generally white trash
2. Is the all inclusive alcohol always watered down and bottom shelf and is the beer always low quality draught?
3. Is the food at all these places almost inedible? Like seriously, the worst food I've ever encountered
The wife and I did the Sandals in St Lucia (Halcyon) and experienced none of those issues. The drinks were good (and strong), the food was fantastic and the majority of folks were either not trash or left their trashiness at home.

If you have a day to travel going each way, Aeroflot will take you for around $800 RT.

Aeroflot is desperate for Western currency. I won't fly on their aircraft.
Not much of a ringing endorsement

I'd like to do 7. We might have to increase our budget which I'm ok with.

You guy's recommending Europe gotta remember his budget is 3k for 2 people, 3k will barely cover their airfare.
True, if you are the type that pays for airfare

We did Aruba for about $3500........all inclusive.
Where did you stay? Went here on my honeymoon and used my wife's parents' timeshare (La Cabana - it was fine, but room sucked), so we had a free stay. But I'm curious how the all inclusive place is.

Even going to ny, Boston or sf will be cutting it close to your budget as lodging and airfare will be around 2k providing you are going 5 nights or more and will be staying in a 2* place or better.
Not if you use blind hotel booking and GoogleFlights.
I'm going to Chicago in August. $250 for TWO round trip flights out of New Orleans, and $86/night for a 4-star hotel on the Magnificent Mile.
