The thing about Joe is that he's the most enthusiastic person alive.
That's what makes him GREAT as an MMA announcer, because his love for it shines through and he wants to teach everyone who watches so they'll love it too.
On his show, his enthusiasm is a double-edged sword because to some he goes off the rails too easily. I just try to bear in mind that that's just Joe being Joe - he's going to pick up whatever his guest lays down and run with it. If that's neuroscience, Joe's going to seem reasonable. But if he has someone on who believes in the Annunaki, he's going to be enthused by that concept too and seem like a fruitloop.

Pretty spot on. I've gotten to where I only listen to certain guests that interest me. I'd rather spend podcast time listening to Duncan Trussell or Chris Ryan. Those two are much more interesting.
