about getting tickets from the series booklets, to single game tickets, to opening day tickets, to the finals tickets, etc. Also, buying tickets on game day. As the series goes on, does it become easier to get tickets outside as teams are eliminated? We know that many of you are extremely knowledgeable in this area and any and all information will be greatly appreciated.

I've been several times and have never had a problem getting tickets. In fact two years ago, we had extra tickets for both LSU games.

Buy a ticket booklet. They're cheap but you sit out in GA seating in the outfield so for opening weekend you have to get in line really early and wait. Get there really early also so you can sit down low with LSU fans. A lot of locals sit in the outfield and are a bunch of chodes there to not even watch the game.

As the games are played, it gets easier & easier to get tix.

The locals usually purchase a book of tickets for the tourney. Those tickets are the prime seats. If you ask around in Omaha in the restaurants, hotel, etc, someone will be able to direct you to a season ticket holder who has purchased a booklet of tickets looking to sale the CWS tickets.

I don't know, LSU hasn't won a game there going on 6 years now.

I've been 4 times and never had tickets until I got there. Last time I went was when we beat TX and I used craigslist then and had seller meet at my hotel lobby with tickets. Best seats are owned by locals so making them drive to me was easier. There are tons of seats for purchase. Easiest national championship tickets to get of all sports.
When LSU wins make your way down to dugout for pics etc and take a cup and have a player or manager scoop you up some dirt from home plate.
Put beads and LSU cap on statue out front and take celebration pics.
Make your way to team hotel with new LSU cap and sharpie for your kids to get team to sign during victory celebration in lobby.
If I knew how to post pics here I would show you how it's done.

You can buy single game tickets ($8) and attend any game with it, but you must wait in line about 1 & 1/2 hours prior to the start of the game you want to attend and it will be for general admission/outfield seating. We waited 2 hours prior and were able to sit the first row of the outfield.
There is a really good website and electronic ticket program (I forget the name) that you can bid on assigned seating tickets. It is popular there and if you go, you will see advertisements for it. You can also post your tickets for sale and never have to meet the seller or buyer. They can scan it at the gate.

I know at the old stadium you could buy GA tickets, go in early, catch BP and watch the tigers, crush Prior in Game 1, from about 3 rows back next to USC's legendary coach. I DID it!

Went in 2013. Bought the ticket booklet online that comes with I think like 15 general admission outfield tickets that are good for any game. Got in line like 2 hours early for the first game and got good seats down at the bottom.
We didn't care for sitting in the outfield all that much because majority of people out there are locals who really don't care about the game...at all. For the next game against UNC we waited in line early in the morning to do the ticket upgrade and got assigned seats down the right field line and it was MUCH better.
Had a blast and will be going every year we make it from now on.

We did that two years ago. Got decent seats down by the foul poles. They're electronic tix so selling them is not as easy as having hard copy tix.
We're going this year and I'm not planning on buying advance tix. For LSU's last game in 2013 we found seats behind home plate, front row for $50 outside and bought them. I'm just going to buy tix outside though I have a few Omaha contacts looking for season ticket holders willing to sell.
We stayed right across the street, was pretty $$$ but the convenience to the games and all the activities around the stadium was worth it. It is a great event, we're really looking forward to heading back.
If you go, you need to hit Barret's Barleycorn. They're an LSU bar near the old stadium location and a regular stop for Tigers in Omaha!!!

Hopefully the new baseballs make a difference at the CWS. If not, prepare yourself for some boring baseball.

What I found made the first weekend busier and thereby causing the hotel rates to go be more expensive along w/ the game tickets harder to get wasn't simply because of the 8 teams playing in the CWS....it was bc of the countless kids teams in town for tournaments and/or clinics.
That was at Rosenblatt. I can't speak for the new TD Ameritrade park.
