I know he will be obviously, but after a loss like this are guys like Jimmer and Douglas officially off the team. Do they boot them right away from facilities and everything? Just curious how that works.

Last summer they had an open gym policy and guys that ended up not with the team did work out here before leaving. Lance Thomas and Aminu IIRC. I expect Douglas to be on the team through the offseason. We have a team option on the deal presumably for trade purposes like Melvin Ely.

Find a GM who is sucker enough to take Eric Gordon off the Pelicans' hands. This would free up salary cap space to allow the Pelicans to sign players who give a crap.

Know how I know you haven't been watching games?

He should be very dumpable this offseason if that's the direction we choose to go, but the problem with that strategy is if you move Gordon strictly to free up cap space you don't get enough free to replace both Gordon and the position you originally wanted to get cap space to target.

Have you even watched this season? Gordon was completely bought in and actually played pretty well. In the playoffs he was the 2nd leading scorer by a wide margin at 18.5 ppg. He's still not worth $15 million, but he's far from the player that received well deserved hate the previous 3 years.

I love Wes Matthews too ATL, but after watching Portland post injury, there's no way their GM lets him go. Carroll is going to get a pay raise also. Unless the new ownership wants to make a splash and go after a bigger name, the hawks have roughly 40 million to sign Millsap and Carroll.

Jae Crowder, Corey Brewer, and Kevin Seraphin are a few guys that I really like. They're tough two way players that could come in and help us take the next step.

DREAM SCENARIO
If Benson is willing to shell out a little extra like he did this year, i would love to see this roster head into next year. It would give us spacing on O and more length and athleticism on d. Demps could then shed salary at the deadline

jrue/reke/cole- 25 million
danny green/qpon- 11 million
middleton/gerald green/babbitt- 17 million
ad/ryno/dante- 20 million
asik/speights/withey- 18 million

Trade Ryno for an athletic 3. I really, really want Brewer first and Gerald Green second. S&T to Houston makes sense as they could use a pure shooter and have better athletes to cover up his deficiencies. Not to mention a coach that could actually get Ryno playing like Ryno. That HOU shot chart is crazy. Ryno would average 9/game there.

Bring back the other pieces, including Asik.

I really like the thought of this team fully healthy. A healthy 4 headed rotation of Jrue/Evans/Gordon/Cole is intriguing to me. The QPon/Dante/Brewer/Davis as the 3/4s is athletic and compliments the other 4. Asik/Ajinca as the traditional 5s to anchor our ability to go smaller/athletic 3/4. If not Ajinca, just find me a 7 foot brute.

Bring in the new coach. Let's go.

I highly highly doubt we'd sign Middleton/Gerald green/Speights AND Danny Green,that just won't happen.

Now signing a guy like dudley/crowder and getting a backup big that has a post game is great idea. Seraphin is an intresting guy you bring up,he has some upside he still hasn't realized yet.

There's a nice market for backup bigs this year.

Isn't he going to be 3rd most places anyway?

Cunningham offense / defense ratings everywhere else he's been have been pretty damn solid.

Sorry, I should have said that was a dream I don't think its possible Middleton might get the max and who knows what the Spurs are going to look like next year. You just never know what the demand is going to be.

Eric Gordon was the only one showing any heart in the first 3/4 of last night's game.

I never thought I would see that.

Do you know how the cap works? We can't get Danny Green or Middleton alone, let alone both and GG.

Dropping money on NBA tv doesn't make sense for me due to scheduling. Try to catch as many games as I can via streaming.

Point taken though, could see how it would be annoying and I've tried to avoid doing that.

Just join ballstreams next season. HD streams from anywhere, no blackout issues, get all the TNT/ESPN/NBATV game, and the games are archived almost immediately

If we don't get rid of Monty, my coaching wish is bringing back Mike Malone as top asst.

Players are not the issue. It is at least 80% coaching and 20% defensive effort. Tibs solves all of that.

New Coach. Maybe Thibs. Maybe an elite assistant like Ron Adams.

A competent SF like Demarre Carroll.

A trade for a Center that is average on D and can actually dunk and fricking catch.

Legit vet depth added even more.

Are we the same fricking person????

Is it just me or does a Gordon for Hibbert swap make sense for both teams?

I can't get 3-1/2 years of not looking like he gave a shite out of my mind. And half a season from a guy making his money just ain't worth the investment.

Also, this is a wish list, and I wish the Pelicans could get players better suited for them. I doubt anyone would take Gordon with his current contract. The Pelicans are stuck with him, but I wish they weren't.
