Damn, I was only 12 and can vividly remember watching the levees break on our 12" tv we had hooked up to our generator with my aunt and uncle from NOLA staying with us

I was in Northeast Louisiana and we had football practice in that shite. It was still a strong cat1 or maybe a cat2 and our coach had us practicing football. Needless to say we did not complete very many passes that day. Went home and watched CNN and fox news coverage of the storm.

I've stayed in New Orleans for many hurricanes and the winds from Katrina made the house make noises that I have never heard before. I was in Metry so house was ok.
Walked around some and saw typical hurricane damage in the Dorignacs area. Didn't walk up to the 17th street canal. Drove up to BR and saw that the levees had broken.
Got into NOLA handling claims and saw things I thought I would never see again, then I went through Sandy.
