I think so. I just watched some Boston fool ruin some perfectly good oysters.

I ran out of cornmeal halfway through frying oysters once and ended up using seasoned flour to finish. They weren't bad but not nearly as good as the cornmeal.

What is the deal with fried oysters? I've always preferred them raw/Rockefeller. Is it just for po'boys?

I can appreciate the right way to do it, but I can't eat them any way but raw.

Whatever the ratio of his meal versus flour, I have no clue. But, I do know that my tall, slender, good lookin' body is full of oyster poboys,, yes, as in plural.

Reading this thread on Friday gave me a big ole hankering for fried oysters.

I fried some up (in cornmeal), and put them over a salad. I made a warm bacon vinaigrette. Everything was fantastic, thanks for the idears folks.
