Mickeys post presence on defense and shot blocking is more valuable to the team than his offense...without him we're watching nit basketball.

I feel sorry for him, but buck up young man and keep pushing forward! One bad game at a bad time will help you grow and just get better!

im not gonna lie i kinda got onion syndrome watching that.
i played for a long time but never been part of a meltdown like that. everyone has been part of tough losses or career-ending losses but they don't always happen like that... he's right, the team played well for long stretches but couldn't finish.
it was frustrating to watch his play deteriorate over the last month-6 weeks but obviously there were physical issues at play. its disappointing that they felt confident enough in elbert to start the guy at the beginning of the year and didn't stick with him to the point where he can at least play in short spurts around the media timeouts to help these guys get some minutes on the bench. same with epps though i know both had injury problems at times.
if this was his last game i'll remember him for blocking a ton of shots, not missing free throws when he was gassed at the end of an emotional game.

Mickey had 12 pts, 14 reb, and 6 blocks while playing injured. How can you call that bad?
Mickey didn't play bad overall, he was miserable on the offensive end though
4 of 13 FG and 4 of 9 from the line

I feel bad for the kid. Hopefully, he spin this into a positive. It's a team loss, but each player or coach should be telling themselves, "I could have done more."

if Mickey comes back, he's going to be so much better having to only pay 25-30 minutes a game versus 35....those extra minutes obviously took a big toll on his stamina and body...he even had a quote on it prior to the NC St. game...come back Mickey and let's go on a huge run next year

I can only imagine how much it must suck to be in the position you've dreamed about. Free throws to seal the win and come up short. He should feel bad he had a chance to win the game, I don't think he's the reason we lost, but life will go on.

you gotta feel sorry for the kid. Anyone who has played organized basketball at a somewhat higher level, whether it be high school or college, knows that we have all had those mental breakdown moments in games where we couldn't throw it in the ocean it seems like. It sort of relates to the "yips" in baseball. What happened to Mickey last night was all mental and its unfortunate that it happened in such a big game but s**t happens. You can't rag the kid for having a mental breakdown because it happens to the best of us throughout a career. It sucks, yeah, but no reason to post hateful stuff about a kid. Cmon man...............

His last block of the game looked like his soul left his body when his feet hit the ground. You could tell he was done.

I feel terrible for mickey. he choked on the biggest stage of his basketball career late in the game.
had a wide open lay up and missed it. went from smiling at the NC state bench to crying in the locker room. that's basketball I guess.

no need to attack mickey personally. he messed up. from that video I know he feels terrible. he doesn't need his own fanbase attacking him IMO. everyone should post to his social media to lift his spirits up.
