Using that phrase pretty loosely. Mickey and Martin both saying they will have a decision to make in the future and they will discuss it with their families. Real Earth shattering stuff there.

Mickey needs to improve his shooting game if he wants to be in the nba. Otherwise he'll likely play overseas if undrafted

They both need to improve everything if they want to play in the NBA.

Same thing could be said for Martin too. I think Mickey has a better mid range jumper than Martin. Martin needs to develop some sort of post move and stop relying on just being more athletic than 80% of the people he goes against in college.

Hopefully lasy night becomes a motivation for them to stay and play with the incoming guys. Real chance to kill it next year.

I think there is a better chance they return after losing in the first round. Had we made it further I think they would have both left.

Answering such questions after an emotional loss is tough, but each will let the emotions pass and make the best decision (in their opinion) for themselves.

Mickey didn't play well at the end of the year. I could see Martin go, he and Hornsby pretty much carried the team. I hope they both stay but not likely.

What would Scotty Thurman do?

If Mickey puts the ball on the floor it is a turn over.

Hopefully losing like that will light a fire under their arse to return and kiss butt next year.

That's a fact
More than one or two dribbles and he's fricked

Martin is ready, Mickey is not

They both need to come back to me and that is not just the Tiger fan in me saying that. Both will be eaten alive if they get a chance to play at the next level. Martin could improve and has way more upside. Would do them both a lot of good coming back getting better at the game. Chances of that though are slim to none and slim just walked out the door.

they gone
Neither of them could play in the NBA today, but there's no reason to stay, either. If there were some chance of developing their games more and maybe getting better by staying another year, it'd be worth it. But that's not happening at LSU. All they'll be next year is another year older, but no wiser or better.

If we saw any semblance of Mickey's mid range jumper last night, he ought to stay for his last two years. Absolutely terrible looks from beyond five feet of the rim. Second Tier Europe / Middle East League at present.
.
Likewise, Martin really needs to develop a touch from 8 to 15 feet away. It won't surprise me at all to see Martin played as a small forward in the NBA based upon his present lack of consistency in crashing the boards. With his present range, he'd get to watch a lot of NBA basketball - from the bench. The good news for Martin if he goes is that he'd be drafted very end of the first round by one of the better teams.

I don't think Mickey even has a decision to make. I don't think he'll be drafted at all...and even if he's drafted in the late 2nd round, he's not going to make a team.
Martin, on the other hand, absolutely matured and raised the level of his game over the course of the year. I think he's going to go mid first round (which is way above where he was rated just several weeks ago). He's a stud.

There couldn't be a worse lasting impression for a player looking to go pro than what Mickey did last night.
