Looks like your chances of survival are higher if you're near an exit.

Th03 can't afford to fly coach to Iowa.

Towards the back but closer to the middle.
Pilot instinct is to nose up at the last second before landing. So in the case of a failed landing gear or water landing (which the pilot actually controls the aircraft to the ground) usually the nose will raise up causing it to strike tail first. This causes the front to slam down with more force. Where as towards the middle, where the rotation around the pitch axis is centered, the torque is substantially less and there's more of the planes structure to absorb and distribute it.
But if it's a different type of crash (e.g. mid air disintegration) it more or less doesn't matter as much. It's just luck of the draw then.

Some poster once said TH03 fricks up every thread he's in. Can't really argue that.

Since I always envision plane accidents resulting in the aircraft breaking in half in midair, I believe I'll take the back.

Studies prove it's the back. Back usually detaches in a crash and keeps better integrity.

Everyone knows the safest seats are in the front. That's where the plane's airbags deploy when it crashes.

you sure are worried about my finances lately. you should post that in the pathetic thread.

I'm flying on Friday. I have a couple of hour and a half flights there and then back on Monday. A couple of real long hauls.

It was a joke bro.
It was a quote from House of Cards. Sorry didn't mean to offend you.
