Nice numbas. How old are you?

Bench 245
squat 300
dead 233 (haven't done a lot of deadlifting before)
Ohp...115 (lulz...this may be a bit low)

27.
Those are solid beginning numbers. With good technique your DL will shoot up quickly. I sumo deadlift for the most part. I aux conventional and suitcase DL.

And I'm getting old..
Not much more for me to prove in lifting heavy shite, but I would love to get 315 on bench.
Beers and food tomorrow after work?

superhero program
Nice numbers by the way. I am Having survey in about 6 weeks and doctor told me no lifting anything for 2 weeks, then only body weight for the next 4 after that, then i have to start with the bar after that. So i guess i am going to jump on stronglifts, then to greyskull For a year and then back onto 5/3/1. gonna suck starting over.

Thanks man.
Damn, there's some Olympic lifting in that. I'm a straight powerlifter. Would need to learn technique.
Sounds like a long road ahead, but good luck to you!

yeah, as stated, he's a little rough around the edges.
The Boring but Big challenge is 3-4 months of hell. You'll hurt. All the time. But you can put on some good size and strength if you follow the program, eat well, and get your rest.
North of Vag is a pretty basic program. It was in the original 531 book, but I'm not sure if he's included it in the most recent editions. Its basically mobility work, jump rope work, lift, and hill sprints. Pretty basic, but effective. And will bring you north of vag.

Would you recommend this program for someone who's just getting back into the gym??
I've been hitting the weights for about a year and not happy with my progress, I've decided to try and find a program to give me structure and simplify my workouts..

If you sound in technique then yes, if not then no. You'll hurt yourself.

Good point, I'll work on proper form first for all of the major lifts.
The last thing I need is to sit out because of an injury.

You're pretty spend by your last set on the major lifts.

If you really want to work on technique, and still build strength, buy the book Starting Strength by Mark Rippetoe. It is the absolute best routine for novice lifters. It is also the best resource out there for how to perform the lifts correctly. Check out [link=(www.startingstrength.com)]StartingStrength.com[/link] for more info.

i personally would recommend reading the starting strength book also. I perfer the greyskull lp as a program though. His book does a great job of breaking down the lifts also. Stronglifts and Madcow are also great programs.
Overall though you should read starting strenth and practical programming by mark rippetoe to better understand strength training.
My preference for program advancement is stronglifts-->greyskull lp---> madcow--->5/3/1
if you don't want to read starting strength atleast read this and then watch form videos on youtube.

What does starting strength entail? I'd heard it recommended several times but don't really know anything about the routine. At this point I've been lifting long enough to not need a novice routine but I'm still curious.
