Most of these have been covered and in most cases I dislike rather than hate them but:
Sideways
Drive
Sliver Linings Playbook
Boyhood
Juno
The Patriot
Taken
The Grey
Slumdog
Thin Red Line -hell yes.
Gravity
Crash - of course.
12 Years a Slave
Star Trek 2009
Lincoln
Guardians of the Galaxy - borderline on this list.
Tombstone - just hated Val Kilmer's absurd performance in this. Maybe I just like traditional westerns too much for this to have worked.
BTW - trivia for today - Wyatt Earp -
"In Wyatt's later years, he lived in Los Angeles and was a technical advisor on several silent cowboy films. He befriended a young actor named Marion Morrison (who later changed his name to John Wayne) and regaled the young thespian with tales of the Old West. Enthralled, the young Duke used to fetch Wyatt cups of coffee. Wayne later claimed his portrayals of cowboys and Western lawmen were based on these conversations with Wyatt Earp."

I think that's pretty amazing.

Thems fighting words. That was maybe Val Kilmers best performance of his career, and by far the best performance of the movie. But to each their own.
I disliked Mean Girls, that apparently is enough to get you ostracized on this board.

I've only seen it once, but I didn't care for Serenity. Maybe it's because. Never watched a single episode of Firefly, but I thought it was boring as hell.

I don't really "hate" movies, but I find these over-rated and would never bother to view again. Using subject's criteria.
Braveheart
LOTR Trilogy
The Big Lebowski (Coen Brothers are my favorite, but I found this one disappointing, even after multiple viewings)
Forrest Gump
American Psycho (book was so much better than movie)
Boondock Saints (just a bad movie)
Star Wars films (Empire Strikes Back was great however)
Django (weak final act)
How to Train Your Dragon II - mediocre at best
Scarface
Avatar - could never really get into this one at all.
Movie I hated - Liquid Sky - worst, stupidest waste of time ever. Good grief, saw this @ The Varsity when it came out. Terribly bad, not even in the campy way it was aiming for.
Others that people have listed (Patriot, Titanic, Gravity, Frozen etc.) - accept as what they are, nothing to see here and move along, say no more.

I am only saying this so you'll trade me A.A.Ron for some scrub next season. Deal?

There are no wrong answers to this thread, as it is all a matter of personal opinion. Then you said Tombstone. To quote Bugs Bunny, "Of course you realize this means war".

I'm sure its been mentioned already a few times but not a big fan of the LOTR movies. I find Pete Jackson to be too sappy. I had much more fun reading the stories. Hate is a strong word though.

The fact that people like those abortions is just unfathomable to me
You're insufferable sometimes. Why don't you just say you don't like historical war/action movies?

Hurt locker is probably the worst movie I've ever seen and I think some people like it.
