To all responsible pit bull owners. Help show america that laws against specific dog breeds is discriminatory. Its not the dog's fault; its the irresponsible pit bull owners that should be held responsible.

Recognizing a need to challenge damaging stereotypes and misinformation about “pit bull” dog owners, in 2012 Animal Farm Foundation put out a call for photo submissions from everyday “pit bull” dog owners.
The Majority Project is a collection of those photos, submitted from everyday families around the country and shines a spotlight on the majority of “pit bull” dog owners: co-workers, friends, family, and neighbors.
The photos illustrate how everyday “pit bull” dog families are making valuable contributions to their communities and families and empowers dog owners to stand up against discrimination and prejudice.
Why is it so important that we make this point?
Since scientific study and research has proven that “pit bull” dogs are just like any other dog, we’re now facing a different, but equally challenging, hurdle: proving that “pit bull” dog owners are just like any other dog owner.
The false belief that only criminals and reckless people want “pit bull” dogs leads to restricted adoption policies, breed specific legislation, and other discriminatory policies.
From law makers and shelter policy makers to talk show hosts and strangers in the checkout line, the stereotype is that “good” people don’t live with “pit bull” dogs.

lovable dogs until they decide to rip off your fricking arm and eat the damn thing.

Surprised no one has responded to this bait yet.

This is a brilliant ploy by some saint. Collect all the dog owner information, send free arsenic laden dog treats to list of dog owners, world is cleaned up of the pitbull menace and infants get to live.

That's not gonna do a thing to change stereotypes.
The only way is to get them away from irresponsible ("trashy") owners and I think the best thing to do that is to treat them similarly to an exotic pet and make owners obtain a license to own.

Everything bad in the world is always the minority. Pit bulls, terrorists, welfare queens, etc.
Well, frick you and your minority sob story. Stop causing all the problems and I'll stop blaming you for it.
When are we going to realize that stereotypes don't just fall out of the fricking sky?

You can always tell how severe the lie is based on the label. Kind of like the Affordable Care Act.

just don't understand why in the hell parents would even take the chance of owning one if they have children. makes zero sense to me.

Hold pit owners criminally liable for their pets destruction

maybe parents are at fault too, you are assuming its their own dog.
None of that still lets pitbull owner off the hook. pitbull owners who think they know their own dog are so cute

parents are at fault. why in the hell would they even bring a pit into the house with a young child? might as well take a chance and get a fricking rattlesnake to prove that you can treat it right and it won't bite/kill your child. then you can prove to everyone that rattlesnakes are precious pets.
