So... What? You want backstory on how talking fricking cars came into existence?

Actually yeah. Look stories take logical worlds, otherwise they are inane, and pointless. Regardless of talking Bug's in Bug's life, it generally makes sense. Cars doesn't. Themes wrapped by illogical ideas are rendered illogical.

I think that's bad for kids. Even fantasy has to make sense.

I'm a purist, though, when it comes to narrative.

Your argument figuratively makes no sense. At all. How are talking cars any different from talking bugs? The logical leap is that things that can't otherwise talk are now able to talk. Sure, in Cars, they're inanimate objects now animated, but the principle of taking on faith that your audience can go with you into the world without asking questions despite these things that normally can't talk now talking is the same as it is in A Bug's Life. Or Toy Story for that matter. Or frick, Thomas the fricking Tank Engine.

Get the frick out of here. Seriously? It's bad for kids to see talking cars on a giant screen? Really? That's the argument you're going to go with?

Don't even go here. By implication, you're saying I'm some sort of pleb, a part of the unwashed masses because I'm not a "purist" within the sphere you deem to be pure. And that sphere is odd fricking shaped, too, because you're allowing shite like A Bug's Life into your "purity circle" while sidestepping Cars because talking cars is "illogical."

What a damn joke. You don't like the movie. That's fine. Just say that. Don't give me these absolutely ridiculous, unsubstantiated reasons for why you don't like it.

This sums up your entire argument.
