Not to diminish what Major Dick Winters and his brothers did in ANY way shape or form, but I'm sure older people in the late 1930s were saying the same things about the young whippersnappers that went on to become the "greatest generation." That generation has serious flaws just like any that came before it and all that will follow it. There are great men and women in that group that continued the magnificent tradition of our excellent nation.
But I truly believe there are still people of the same character in this country today.
